I bought “my” domain name (www.stevenlanham) in 2008 and had planned to create a personal blog right away. However, despite the strong intention, it never came to fruition. That’s 10 years of intention and very little action. Interesting reflection that – sitting on an idea (or intention) for 10 years.
It wasn’t for a lack of a specific skill set – I have been designing websites for clients during the same period. I just didn’t have the focus to create a website/blog for myself. I guess you could say that even though my intention factor was a positive number, the fact that my focus was a zero, the sum result was always going to be zero.
About six weeks ago I made the decision to (finally) bridge this intention gap. It was created as a part of a training program I’m doing that encourages you to routinely discover (something new) and then declare it to the world – a personal/business blog is the perfect “stage” for such a challenge.
My goal was to start building this blog, but not tell anyone until I had a little bit of content. I don’t really have a written plan for what or how this blog will work. I wanted to share ideas related to my business, entrepreneurship and other marketing related concepts – but also share stories about my journey and my steps. Life lessons.
After six weeks of keeping it on the down-low, I think I’m ready to declare it to the world. Gulp.
So here it is. Welcome.
I’m open to any type of feedback. Or even ideas of things you want to know about me or my business. Post your comment below or send me a message here.
I appreciate you stopping by.
