The end of May was the end of my second 90-Day Challenge. The concept of the 90-Day Challenge was introduced to me during involvement with The Creative Syndicate program I started in November of last year. It has been a game changer in the way I approach all areas of my life – both personal and professional.
I had set reasonably lofty goals for my second 90-Day Challenge and I got reasonably close to them. Taking time to reflect on how I did is an important part of going into my next challenge. But so is rest. Commitment to a 90-Day Challenge is a lot of work. Each week, I set specific goals along with four key tasks that needed to be complete in the various areas of CORE4: Body (physical exercise & food), Being (connection to yourself) Balance (connection to others) and Business.
For the past two weeks I didn’t set any goals or complete any “to-dos”. That’s not to say I hadn’t been thinking about my next challenge, I was just taking time away from the daily commitment.
I decided to make June a soft challenge. Starting today, I’ve created a mini three week challenge. There are two reasons for this: my 90-Day Challenges didn’t match traditional quarters – I started my first challenge in December and my second challenge in March. I want to start my next challenge on the traditional quarter. The other reason is to simply take a break and to set the stage for my next challenge. This will involve creating a couple of financial management (personal and business) and other business related goals.
